Relaties
Cordelia Chase
In Los Angeles veranderen
ANGEL:
So, we are talking about the same Cordelia Chase, right?
WESLEY:
That's correct.
ANGEL:
Knowing her...
WESLEY:
But you don't. You don't know her at all. For months now you
haven't cared to. Otherwise you might have realized that our Cordelia
has become a very solitary girl. She's not the vain, carefree creature
she once was... Well, certainly not carefree. - It's the visions, you
see. The visions that were meant to guide you. You could turn away from
them. She doesn't have that luxury. She knows and experiences the pain
in this city, and because of who she is, she feels compelled to do something
about it. - It's left her little time for anything else. - You'd have
known that - if you hadn't had you head firmly up your... place that
isn't on top of your neck
Unnamed Bleached Blonde
WESLEY:
Angel, you can't just, sniff a person and know...
ANGEL:
You had sex last night, with a bleached blonde.
WESLEY:
Good Lord! How'd you...?
CORDELIA:
That's unbelievable. I didn't think you
ever had sex.
Virginia Bryce
VIRGINIA:
I don't know. - But sometimes I feel like I should be wrapped
in bandages - to keep *my* insides from falling out.
WESLEY (swallowing):
This is difficult for you, isn't it?
VIRGINIA:
I just don't like to see you hurt.
WESLEY:
No. - I mean - I mean breaking up with me.
Virginia looks up at Wesley, but doesn't say anything.
Lilah Morgan
kamp is.
LILAH
It's not a secret.
WESLEY
What isn't a secret?
LILAH
Us. The firm knows that we're... doing this.
WESLEY
Isn't it their job to know this sort of thing. The sordid details of their
employees lives.
LILAH
Mmm... Yeah, I just thought I should tell you. Sordid. Rrreow. Angel knows
too.
WESLEY
I don't work for Angel anymore. And I could care less what he thinks.
LILAH
You faker. That's what you said when he was sleeping with the fishes. We both
know how that played out.
WESLEY
That was different. So Angel knows about our relationship. (Lilah's eyes flash
open) Big deal.
LILAH
(climbs on top of him, she's wearing a slinky red nightgown) A dollar. You
owe me a dollar.
WESLEY
Oh, damn!
LILAH
You called this a relationship. (kisses his forehead) You lost the bet. (Wes
grabs his wallet off the bedside table) You said it first. (Wesley hands
her a dollar) Sign it first, as proof.
WESLEY
Proof of what?
LILAH
Of now. Of this.
Winnifred Burkle ("Fred")
WESLEY
I should ask you. You seem unutterably cheery.
GUNN
I am. I am. Look, I gotta be straight with you 'cause this is kinda
blowin' my mind.
WESLEY
Tell me.
GUNN
Fred and I are getting back together. She was so keyed up from last
night's fight, she asked me over. We
ended up talking for hours like old times, then, all of a sudd— I
can't even keep this up 'cause your face
is gonna make me weep. Wes, I am so messin' with you.
WESLEY
I— Oh... No, I...
GUNN
Come on. Brother gets a dig in. That's my right.
WESLEY
So, you know about—
GUNN
It's on every Blackberry in the building. No secrets in the House
of Pain.
WESLEY
And... is that all right...with you? Fred and me?
GUNN
Last year, you wouldn't ask me that question. The man
becomes civilized. It's cool. Our thing's long done,
and I know
how you feel about
her.
WESLEY
Thank you.
GUNN
And to add the necessary boilerplate, you ever hurt
her, I'm gonna kill ya like a chicken.
